Head of Shreyas Decor is leading event expert Cathy Shay Palmer. With over 10 years experience in the industry she is dedicated to creating bespoke designs to suit any event in order to give her clients complete confidence that their events will be ones to remember. Cathy's designs have featured largely in both industry magazines as well as top bridal magazines serving as a constant source of inspiration for both amateur and professional event organisers.

Cathy's event career started when she was working to supply DJ's for events. She would often discuss the design of events with her brides and started to develop simple lighting and venue dressing services with them to make their weddings look more dramatic. Cathy soon realised that she bridged the gap between techies and brides as she was able to see how lighting and effects could be used to create beautiful and romantic settings for weddings when used in the right way. Her technicians have had training to make equipment as discrete as possible (a concept that baffled most technicians!) in order to make their application wedding friendly.

It was not long before Cathy branched this sympathetic technique of event design to other high end events such as fashion shows, product launches and corporate cocktail parties. The attention to detail backed by a firm foundation of technical knowledge makes her designs truely inspirational and she has a constant flow of proteges who offer to work alongside her to learn the tricks of the trade.

In recent years, Cathy has provided event decor, event production and event management to over 300 events. These have ranged from small weddings to major corporate event for Blue Chip companies such as Taylor Wimpey, AXA, RIBA, Coca Cola, Barclays Bank and Deloitte to name a few.
